If the “Scale Open” lights turn off as you approach, do you blow it?

Today as I was coming home, the “Scale Open” lights at the 2 mile, 1 mile, and 1/2 mile markers were flashing. As I flipped on my turn signal just before the entrance, the lights at the entrance stopped flashing. So I turned my turn signal off and kept on trucking.

I wasn’t chased down, and I’m already home. So I’m not worried about it. And I have a dash cam so I could show that the lights were off before I got to the entrance. But should I have stopped or was I in the clear since the lights were off? I know they could have stopped me if they wanted….
