Went to an urgent care. Ive been an otr driver for like 6+ years. Had a new job they sent me an offer letter etc. Told me to get a new physical and do a physical fitness test , normal stuff. During the exam they asked me if I ever got depressed. I said “yeah doesn’t everyone I’m living in my parents basement and can’t find a job of course I get sad sometimes”

“As a medical professional I find you unfit to drive for company and will not grant you a physical”
Huh?
Idk why I bothered being honest. I don’t think I said anything remotely inflammatory or worrying.
But anyways out a job and back on the hunt for another.
Crazy because I have an active medical, and know 100% I can go like down the street and get another if need be.
I had no idea they’d deny me for saying “I get sad sometimes” and list depression and unfit to drive.
