How mechanically inclined do you need to be to drive truck?

I see a lot of posts that make it seem like most of you can pull over, swap an engine, and it keep it rolling. That’s an exaggeration, but I’m not very good with working on cars. I’m leaning toward getting my CDL, but I’m worried that I’ll be expected to work on my own rig a lot.

Is that something you get trained on, or something you went into trucking with existing knowledge? Or am I worried over nothing?
