Earlier this year my truck went into Derate. I was told it needed new filters, nox sensors and a metering valve.
I didn’t know at the time the shop I took it to had a reputation for doing shady shit. Like. It replacing the parts you paid for.
Ultimately after months of dealing with this shop I had to have it towed to a dealer and have nearly $20k worth of work to get it running again.
The owner is currently in jail for fraud.
Since then Ive had a check engine light occasionally pop up that I’m told is for a nox sensor issue.
Today my truck showed it needed a regen. I ran it for an hour while being loaded but they finished quicker than usual so I had to move.
I’m now sitting outside of their gate and it’s been more than an hour and a half and it’s still going.
I’ve never had it go this long. Also my floors usually feel warm/hot while it’s running but they’re not feeling warm now.
Not sure if this is normal or not.
