How is Verizon home internet?

I am a gamer and on my free time I play games every now and then. Sometimes I want to download something since games nowadays are more then 30gb. At home I have no problem since I have fiber internet but I go home after a month or two. Been using my hotspot but find I quickly use it up for my Roku tv and laptop before my next cycle. Was thinking of verizon internet but don’t know much about it. I have a discount for it to go for 25$ and would like some thoughts on how great it is. Is it truly unlimited ? Is it 5g only when it’s available? Compared to the mobile hotspot how is the ping? I lag spike here and there but almost never when I’m on 5g UW. I mostly want it just for the unlimited data on it without data capped
