I am in the process of getting a cdl and recently dropped out of college.
I plan to work and then try again withcan online college later to finish my degree.
From my research, i think the best way forward for me is too take my first job with a mega-carrier as a regional driver as there are many positions in my area (baltimore,MD).
Then look for new opportunities after i have about a year of experience.
My question is, how easy would it be for a cdl holder with a year experience to find a job working max 50 hours a week, mostly closer to 40, so i can go back to school?
I am in my 20s and have no responsibilities beyond a work and, when i go back, finishing college.
I dont care about odd hours or unstable schedules, or driving class A or B, or what type of frieght.
My only concern is i’d rather stay away from passenger and school bus jobs, because people in crowds kind of suck.
How easy can i get a 40hr/week cdl job?
