Seems freight is slowing a bit where I am and lately my checks have gone down thanks to less work and my company struggling to secure new contracts and available loads.
I know everything’s down but I’m wondering if I should switch over to hauling reefer with produce soon.
I feel like we’re already in a recession, and it’s only going to get worse. I’m probably going to live out of the truck for a while come January.
Even though I know there’s always going to be some kind of work truck driving, I worry how steady it may be. Especially intermodal. The majority of what I’ve been pulling for this company the last 6 months is building supply stuff and recycling junk.
