I started with an AFP about a week ago because it’s the only part-time job I could find in my area, and I need to spend time with my kid. I didn’t know they were an all CNG fleet, until I started. Do you guys know anything about the safety of these things? I know that the fuel is more difficult to ignite, but what about the pressure? These tanks are filling to 3600 psi. That’s enough to blow up a small building. What would happen if say a forklift went through the trailer or something? Or I were in a rollover (I know, there’s plenty of footage of Amazon trucks in rollovers, but I’m talking worse case)? Idk, the thought of it is bothering me, but I’ve been soldiering on because the pay is go… the pay is pay and I gotta support my family. What are your thoughts on it? Should I be looking elsewhere? I’d hate to have to go OTR again.
