Last night I bunked down at the loves in Coachella, CA off the I-10.
I’m chillen in the sleeper and I hear a massive crunch that sounded like it was right next to me. So, I move my blinds to investigate. Sure enough there was a white Freightliner with a white dryvan sitting in front of my truck. As I’m looking about it becomes clear this freight-shaker just hit the hell out of the guy two spots down to the left of me. He was trying to do a blind side (completely unnecessary, there were more than enough spots and no rush to claim a spot). He crunched the front end of the truck so harshly as to create a massive “V” shape in the guy’s hood, chrome, and bumper.
Before I could get out to try and nab the freightliners truck info, he takes off like a whore in church. Leaving another driver and the guy who was hit to go running after him on foot. The Freightliner almost hit two other trucks in his attempt at getting away.
My dash cam only catches video if I’m hit, or I’m currently driving. So there was nothing I could do to offer this guy some help in catching this asshole.
I don’t know if the other driver that was helping to chase down this dude was able to pull information or caught it on his own dashcam
I sure hope he was able to.
I told the victim that he could check with loves to see if they caught him in any of their cameras. He went up and checked but I don’t know if it was fruitful.
