Got my first ticket today.

Got loaded at Pioneer Fibers outside of Chicago, and weighed my load there and the gross was fine. Was going to double check at the Pilot around the corner, but missed the entrance and decided to go ahead to the next place I saw because turning back around would have been a pain. Went down the road for a while on 57 S and forgot I was looking for a Cat scale until I was passing up a Pilot. No big deal, there was a sign a while back for a Love’s and I should be coming up on it pretty soon. Unlucky for me, a weigh station was first. Got pulled in, ended up being 2500lbs over on my trailer axles. $590 ticket, but not going to affect my record or my license in any way, so that’s something I guess. Was in such a hurry to get the fuck out of the Chicago area that it cost me. Live and learn I suppose.
