I’ve been driving for going on 7 months soon doing OTR and honestly completely forgot about the arm pump. I was driving on a two lane highway through MO. About an hour out from finishing up a 1000 mile and change load. Lately ive been missing my lady at home, so I have been feeling pretty low and then a good friend of mine I deployed to helmand, afghan with killed himself 3 weeks ago so I have been sorta dealing with that. I was driving on a long stretch, only person on the road and was just blankly staring at the road. My head was in a completely different place just thinking about stuff when I saw some commotion in the corner of my eye and look down and see this girl looked to be in her teens was hanging out the passenger window doing the arm pump and her mom leaned over waving up at me. It took a few seconds to register she was signaling an arm pump. I realized what she was doing and grabbed the steering wheel with my right hand and was trying to grab the cord with my left. I couldn’t find it for a good few seconds and finally I grabbed it and let it rip 3 good times for her. They both waved up at me and drove off. I had the biggest grin on my face for a few miles. I wish those two individuals knew how much I needed that arm pump.
