Got an overlength ticket. Is it even worth fighting?

So I got my first overlength ticket taking US-501 east into Lynchburg, VA. Big fail for both my Truckerpath and Rand McNally GPSs that routed me down that hightway. Bigger fail for me not heading the restricted length sign (which I did see but didn’t take much notice of). So I earned it, no doubt.

Question is, is it worth fighting? It’s only $250 and no points on my license and won’t affect my insurance. Maybe a lawyer could get it dismissed or the fine reduced, but it’s not like I can’t afford it. Is it worth the effort?
