I just saw [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Truckers/comments/10wt0f0/what_is_the_current_fuel_level_in_eights/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)where someone asked for their fuel level in fractions, and in the comments people said they tell their company they have 1/8th less than they actually do so they never run out.
Can someone explain what this procedure is? Like is your company only approving a certain amount of gas at a specific gas station ?
I can fuel up whenever at my company so I’m just curious how it works at other gigs.
