I’ve recently started a new job as a tanker fuel hauler, the trucks we have are manual and at this point I’ve been trying to learn to float gears on my own, it’s been a month at this point and I’m still learning and trying to improve but I feel like I’m at a cap for what I can learn on my own, 70% of the time I can get the gear where it needs to be while shifting up and 95% of the time I can downshift like a pro but it’s when I’m unloaded that i feel im shifting too fast still.
Any tips would help but also how long did it take for you guys to get the hang of floating gears perfectly?
