was given a load already late, because they gave it to me with only 2 hours left on my 14. Florida to California they knew this but said it was okay. I drove over 600 miles a day running my clock trying to make it. I told them I won’t be able to make it. My 70 hour clock would be out mid day. They said they went in and changed my on duty times to off duty. Which I already know is illegal as fuck. It gave me some more hours. I am a hour away from delivery, that delivers 3 hours. I am out of all hours. I informed dispatch of this, I knew this would happen earlier today, I told them I wouldn’t make it. He called asking if I can deliver on personal conveyance. I debated saying sure, but realized I am in California and all reprocussions land on me and me alone. I worked too hard and spent too much money getting my cd again, to jeopardize it like this. I want to have my cd for years to come and don’t want a ugly stain on it. I’m sure I’ll hear hell in the morning, I’m beyond pissed. I hung up on him (I guess he called instead of text so there isn’t physical proof of him asking) I then texted I’m not doing it, reschedule and I’ll have some recap hours in 10. Probably my last load with this company, I made some others posts about the hell it’s been with them. Hopefully they don’t fuck me with a bad load home after this for revenge.
DOT officer won’t give a fuck me saying “but dispatch told me to do it”
EDIT: I put my phone on do not disturb now during my 10 because dispatch loves calling any time. I see they tried to call and told me to call the office. I said “no I am going to sleep, tell me it be rescheduled delivery”
