Federal Felony Possession of Firearm Charge

Hey and thanks in advance for any input. I got pulled over in NY with my pistol in my car. I don’t have a license to carry and I’m a PA resident. I got charged with a federal felony possession of firearm. I have to do 1 year probation because of it. Is it possible with having this felony on my record to get a truck driving job? Or is this too serious of a charge? I have a clean record outside of this charge. This was my first fuck up and of course I get a felony charge. Will a trucking company hire someone with a federal felony possession of firearm charge? Anyone in the same boat as me?
