ELDT passenger endorsement for already holding Class A CDL

I’m looking to add a passenger endorsement, I’ve already been holding a CDL since before the change and the DMV has yet to give me a clear answer and the training providers seem motivated to sell you on it for an overpriced amount.

My question is would I really need to go through the ELDT knowledge and BTW training? And If so what else is required?
I’ve been hearing that I may also need to go through the pretrip and driving skills test but there’s no mention regarding having to do that on the FMCSA site.
