I applied to Dollar General and have been texting back and forth with a bot who seems to be playing games with me.

The bot sends a text like this at 1am –

Hey XXXXX, here are some updated times for your 20 minute phone interview at Dollar General
1. Wednesday, August 30 at 08:20 AM

Note that the slot is 2 weeks out. I see it at 7am and replied with “1” and quick reply comes back with this –

It looks like the available times I sent previously for Dollar General have all been booked. I’ll work with Dollar to find some more options and will follow up with you shortly!

This has repeated about 5 times over the last fortnight.

Today, I got a message when I was awake with these slots and I replied within 5 seconds. The bot shot the same reply back.

What is going on with them? Are they a joke?
