I just got back from a trip down I-75 through KY, TN with the hills covered in snow. I tried to imagine what it would have looked like before the interstate, like before there was even a path at all. How could they even get there to build it?
It must have been pretty inhospitable to a traveler, who’s trying to clear a path so that *maybe* someone else can bring in the equipment to build a road. It’s basically uphill, downhill, sharp turn. Uphill, downhill, sharp turn. (Repeat for 3 hours.)
