I’m considering a job driving for Marathon Petroleum Corporation.
A Marathon recruiter told me their drivers are paid by the hour (30-34/hour depending on location).
They said they DO NOT get time and a half after 40. I thought in the US this has been law a long time that hourly employees get time and a half.
He said they do get some overtime pay (not time and a half, it works differently) if you choose to work additional time after completing prescribed work load (did not get details).
He also said you can’t work more than 60 hours per week at MPC, in the interest of safety.
They say you can make 120k/year, hard to see how that happens without time and a half, anybodys experience they would be willing to share is much appreciated!!! Thank you!
