I am being routed to one of my company’s yards to pick up a load for Sam’s club that was dropped there by another driver who apparently shifted the last palettes back and they are now leaning up against the door causing it to bulge. I have been asked to move forward and slam the brakes to shift it back into a standing position before taking the load. I have never done this sort of thing accidentally or on purpose. I am worried I might do it too hard and smash some pallets to pieces. How much speed should I give it before I slam the brakes? Any other advice?
