Hi, I am 16 and want to become a trucker and own my own fleet. My parents believe it would be best that I go to college and get a 4 year business degree if I want to do that. I think that I would learn just as much about how to run a trucking business from 4 years of experience in the industry. From the money I have saved now and would earn from those 4 years of experience I believe I could own my own semi truck around 22 and start building my fleet then but if I went to college I would have the debt and it would take awhile to save up the money. Do you think a business degree for owning a trucking company would be more useful than the 4 years of experience in the field.
