Can anybody explain to me how to fuel at Road Ranger?

Company driver so I don’t get to pick my own fuel stops, and I usually get the big three. Sometimes we stop at road ranger though and their process is completely different for some reason. I went inside because I couldn’t figure out how to get my rewards app entered at the pump. The cashier told me to pump diesel, then reefer, then DEF, but because I hung up the pump between diesel and reefer the transaction was suspended somehow? All the other truck stops have separate counts for reefer and truck fuel, but she seemed to expect me to pump it all as one, and just…lay the pump on the ground as I pulled forward(?). I wound up only getting diesel. Does anybody know what I’m talking about and what went wrong?
