Edit: I do mean for this vent to be of construct. There is room for everyone out there. Brokers and carriers.
This morning we had a load by a so called Zach. I won’t mention his company but he confirmed us and said we had it and we were good to go. He was just waiting to get a pu number from his customer. We called him after he confirmed us and he said “yes” he was working up the rate con. Lastly we called again and no answer. We already know who bootleg brokers work. Who have no courage to call and say what happen so we continued on our way. Brokers get mad when we call and say hey we got a leaky hub and we won’t make it. They wanna make all sorts of reports and claims as to why they are going to have to lower the price because of our fault. That being said here is where the broker and carrier relationship dynamic is at.
#1. There is absolutely no interest on behalf of you brokers in wanting to develop a so called relationship. Most even if it’s a good carrier just don’t care.
#2. Carrier411 is the worst solution to what you guys use to determine if a carrier is good or not. This bull crap is a joke. Used by bullies to submit carriers into submission. A lot of the times unfair reporting and crap details are said about carriers. Fact!
#3. Brokers dominate the open market because most guys or small fleets just don’t have time to market and sell. We need the wheels to spin to make money. Carriers need a system to collectively define this and I can almost guarantee that brokers would no longer be needed.
#5. Carriers far less unite than brokers do. A lot of Carriers take cheap crap and that makes it worst for all. Brokers you guys seem to sometimes work in units to maintain these rates.
#6 If customers had a easy way to just get in touch with carriers brokers would be done. Carriers need a app or system like Uber or Lyft where customers can see what trucks, who’s driving and a rating and they could hire them directly.
#7. Brokers don’t care.
#8. Brokers don’t care.
#9. Brokers don’t care.
10. Brokers care…. about the customer not the trucks. F the trucks we need more money from the customer.
