A few months ago I had a governor air leak, so my compressor would constantly kick on. Mechanic came and ‘fixed’ it. Next day it’s still happening. Not unsafe…just royally annoying. I told my boss it wasn’t fixed. He called the mechanic who assured him it was fixed. I told him it wasn’t. “Well you aren’t a mechanic”
*I am a truck driver who knows my way around a pre-trip, AND I did go to college for a an AAS degree in automotive service.
I took a video and sent it to him and asked if he’d like to forward it to safety or should I? Mechanic comes back and fixes it.
Today I was finished early and was helping out around the yard(hourly pay). Apparently mechanic had put new brake canisters and valves on a trailer that was just sitting in the open. Went to hook that drivers truck back up, and when I hit the trailer it rolled back. Like A LOT. there was NO brakes. After testing, even the service brakes didn’t work after airing up, a healthy amount of heavy depresses on the brake pedal,(to adjust slack) nothing.
