Coming out of trucking school with my CDL-A & found a moderate size Local company willing to train me (without even having a training program) they are sending me on a Flight and in a hotel for 2 weeks 4states away just to ride/drive with a local driver to learn from. I passed 2 interviews one with the corporate hiring manager but went and Bombed my 3rd and final driving exam with the tester to see if I got the job.. well I did awful on my backing and was rusty ontop of that ive been out of school for a month and have had my cdl all of 2 months now.. H.R. called me at first and told me sorry you didnt “pass” and I thought oh well smh, then 2 days later the corporate hiring manager that I initially interviewed with called me again and told me they love my enthusiasm & personality that they are willing to train me even without a program (so rare for them that I’m the FIRST person they have ever offered this to). I Feel extremely blessed for the opportunity and SO thankful I don’t have to go OTR anymore. On TOP of making 7 year vet money out of the gate!!!
If there is anyone fresh out of school looking for a local job even if they are with a Mega already i just want to say There IS Hope and come in with a “Positive & Work Hard mindset” and watch god work! Thankful AF ????
