Best way to remove pallet stickers?

Friend of mine gets a lot of amazon loads and they have this plastic sticker thing that they tie nylon ribbons to to secure the pallets. My friend has to remove these himself which is fine for the ones on the walls of the trailer, but the roof ones are real annoying. He doesn’t want to use a step ladder (idk why) and says if he can just use a tool to get the nylon ribbon through the loop, he can pull them down no prob.

Wondering if anyone else has an easy way to do this?

I’m not a trucker but my mom was for a few years and I looked in his trailer when he was in town. Seems to me it’d be easier to get a little step ladder and feed the cord through then get off the step ladder and pull. He doesn’t want to do that tho. IDK.

Any thoughts?
