I’m an hour from Sioux falls SD on I90. I shut down this morning at 10:30 because the weather was way too bad for me. Snow was piling up in the right and left travel lanes and my visibility was non existent at times. It’s my first year and I was uncomfortable with the conditions especially when the wind kicked up.
Is there a way to like actually see the road conditions? I feel bad for stopping but I don’t want to kill someone because I lose control. I feel bad bc I saw other truckers going 70 just fine but I really didn’t feel comfortable so I’m wondering if my decision was even justifiable.
Usually after snow storms I can handle the mild blowing snow out here but with the snow piles popping up out of no where it felt unsafe and it looks clear at the truck stop but I want to make sure the huge snow piles are cleared before I start driving again.
