Hey everyone,
Unsure whether or not this would be the best place to post this question, but I am looking into getting my AZ license in Ontario, Canada (as a first step in becoming an apprentice powerline tech, basically a necessity from what I learn).
The school I am looking into only offers an AZ MELT (Mandatory Entry-Level Training) program. After a quick google search, I see that this MELT distinction is not preferred by employers within the powerline field. Is this true? Should I search for another program?
If so, what is the main difference between a normal AZ program and a AZ MELT program, and what impact would that have on apprenticeship prospects?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
