Edit: Okay, good to know. Not “it’s the rule,” but that I’m thinking about this way more than I need to and my company is probably overbearing about logs.
So when I do an 8/2 split, and eventually have to do an actual 10, why does it absolutely, completely, have to be SLEEPER, and can’t be Off Duty? My company’s logging software says it’s a violation to go Off Duty instead of Sleeper for a post-split 10hour.
Like, you’re _supposed to_ go Off Duty when you’re literally outside the sleeper, say taking a piss or a shower, or hypothetically sleeping in a hotel room, but if I log off duty for the restroom it’s a violation.
Like why? I’m just going to have to step out for a piss and not log it. I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t.
