I haul diesel only and what i enjoy about this situation is when I get to racks there’s hardly anyone in those lanes . In and out. Also I like the fact that the way the racks are designed make it so when I’m gassy I can rip a few ones and the breeze just lifts them away. I do a 4pm -4am shift and it’s the best for doing nights of course that’s just my opinion. When I’m driving in the hwy i do get the single ” igiot ” trying to cut me off on merging lanes but besides that most people stay far from me . I notice coming from dry van that the crazies are more conscientious when acting up towards tank drivers. I drive a semi tank and i prefer it to the “doubles”. Visually and verbally i can see folks respect me more because I drive one. Apart from boosting the ego it helps with morale since working for companies always comes with management problems. The money side of it is also another plus . I do less work and stress vs when I was in dry van side of things . The waiting part is non existing for me .
