Accident on private property

Hello all,
I have a question i really need an answer to. I just started driving a month ago. Last week i arrived at a receiver and as i was trying to set up in order to back into a dock i clipped another truck with my trailer. Totally avoidable and my mistake. I will make sure i learn from it but my boss said the insurance will put this on my cdl? Does anyone know if this goes on my record even though it happened on private property?
