So a few years ago i started flight school at my college but then covid hit and paused everything and i just have lost all motivation to go back to school. The flying was fun but having to go to college was and is such a drag to me. I do not enjoy random classes that have little to nothing to do with my potential career. As most people know, it ain’t cheap. I have a crappy part time job and with the lack of motivation to finish out 2.5 more years of college along with a majority of my flight training that i had left. I was thinking about getting my CDL to be able to get a better job.
So my first question might be a bit of a long shot but does anybody know any good schools in the cincinnati ohio area? Ive done some googling but some of them have mixed reviews and stuff and dont really mention a cost. Google claims it can cost between 1500-8000 dollars for the class and everything.
My next question is, i’ve read a bit about team driving and how couples can do it but what about if a buddy of mine gets his cdl with me, would we be eligible to team drive together? Do companies hire 2 newbies to drive together or will we have to split up and work with veterans before we get our own truck or whatever?
And for the last question which kinda goes with the first, how likely is it to find companies that will pay for your cdl training? Would that be possible with the potential plan to team drive?
