26 ft Uhaul – NH to Austin TX Route

Moving my family back to TX from NH with a 26ft Uhaul and pulling a small toyota SUV behind it. Im trying to figure out the best route for hills.

On the way up here we came up through Cleveland and across NY & VT. VT was the end of the trip but had the worst hills going across HWY 9 into NH.

Going back I was looking at going down HWY 81 through Harrisburg into Roanoke. I know there are some hills but I cant find any grades that are too bad. For reference, hwy 9 in VT has some that are more than 16% grade and I was scared for my life in the truck going down those hills.

Times are about the same and Im not on a tight schedule so really just looking for the easiest stress free route.
